A word about me and my style

I am Aleksy - a photojournalistic photographer who focuses on informal and candid rather than posed wedding photography. My passion for photography started when I was only eight years old and my uncle, himself a keen photographer, gave me my first camera. I quickly learned new terms like aperture, focus and film sensitivity. Over the years, I have taken photos at every family celebration, until I finally decided to take it up professionaly. I chose to specialise in a wedding photography because I always believed that the most important thing in life is doing things that you really enjoy.

My style of photography involves story telling with a light touch of fine art and portraiture. I do not direct or ask people to pose as I believe that natural photos are better. I have always preferred the atmospheric nature of classic photographs so in addition to the now standard digital photography I am one of selected number of photographers who offer weddings shot on traditional black and white films which I later take the time to develop manually for a superior result.
